Ed's late-in-life artistic endeavors through the medium of pastel paintings has rapidly evolved.  Through his delicate use of soft pigments on sanded paper displayed under framed glass,  Ed is inspired by impressionism of music, lyrics, poetry ... "as music is the poetry of sound, so is painting the poetry of sight".
